One week of client work, on the record.

A Notion template for consultants, fractional executives, freelancers and independent operators who manage several ongoing clients at once.

Client Work Ledger home page in Notion, with a first-step callout above the What needs attention section.

Monday

Under What needs attention, choose one entry.

The home page opens on work sorted by Due date. Use Add client work before a meeting ends to add a deadline, decision, client request or risk under the right Client project.

Client Work Ledger first-step callout above What needs attention, where open work is sorted by Due date.

Wednesday

Half the week is waiting on someone.

Items waiting on the client carry the person, what they owe and your next Follow-up date. A stalled item becomes a scheduled follow-up instead of a nagging feeling.

Open work board with Open and Waiting on client columns. Cards show the Client project, Due date and Priority.

Sample entries are fictional. The working views in your copy start clean.

Weekly update template with sections for completed work, work waiting on the client and next week's work.

Friday

The update is already in Client work.

Work you plan to mention to the client appears in one view. The Weekly update template keeps completed work, items waiting on the client and next week's work together for each Client project. Sent updates remain in Client work.

Week 6

Prepare for renewal with a record of completed work.

Each Client project includes a Renewal review date and Project health. Confirmed Results stay tied to the Client work that produced them. Sharing permission shows whether each result is Private, Needs review, Client-approved or Public.

Renewal review table listing each active Client project with its Main contact, Project health, Renewal review date and Review timing.

Sample entries are fictional.

Use other systems for billing, time and client access

Use the Ledger after you and a client have agreed to work together. Keep leads, invoices, time records and client access in the systems you already use for those jobs. The Ledger does not connect to email or calendars and contains no automation that contacts clients. You decide what you commit to, what counts as a finished result and what a client may see. Keep confidential material out unless your client agreement allows you to retain it.

The template is not for sale yet.

The planned price is $29 through October 15, 2026, then $59 starting October 16, 2026. Delivery will be through Notion Marketplace, where you choose the workspace that receives the template.

The purchase covers your own client work under the personal-use license inside the file. A free Notion account is required.
